The story revolves around six individuals trying to start their own company in the world’s famous tech capital; silicon valley. This 6 seasons long show unfolds every aspect of the business from finding investments for your business to saving your business from theft by opportunist businessmen.
It primarily focuses on the programmer Richard Hendricks who develops a starter company called pied piper and narrates his struggles in maintaining it and simultaneously facing competition from bigger companies.
What makes silicon valley different is the fact that its creators have incorporated real-life events into the show brilliantly. It thoroughly depicts the challenges faced by an entrepreneur and the phases a start-up has to go through.
Lesson~ Adapt to changes, being flexible helps in adverse situations. Make as many relations in the business world, don’t burn bridges. Look out for legalities especially for intellectual property rights. Maintain a healthy work/life balance to ensure less stress.

The office is a mockumentary-style sitcom that makes its viewers feel like they’re a part of it. One can easily relate with a character as an individual from their own life be it their boss, co-workers or friends.
This sitcom follows a bunch of co-workers,each with a unique personality who work at a paper company in Pennsylvania. What makes it unique is the fact that it captures the true essence of 9-5 job, including conference room meetings to co-workers playing pranks on each other.
This show reflects the different personality of people who work in the company including the boss who isn’t very bright or funny, a salesman who is quite serious about his job and a salesman who loves pulling pranks. Creating a similar workspace environment this show tends to teach a lot of management and business-related lessons.
Lesson~ Try to make the most out of everything, it’s possible to enjoy a bit even in a stressful situation. Timing is everything, as a matter of fact, time is money in business. Success doesn’t come without taking chances.
3)Better call Saul (2015-present)(tv show)

A spin-off to Breaking Bad, this show covers the six years spanning from 2002-2008 before it. This show follows the transformation of a former con artist named James “Jimmy” McGill who turned from an earnest lawyer into a greedy criminal defence attorney better known as Saul Goodman.
Jimmy is known to be a smooth-talking but ethically challenged and financially struggling lawyer, he tries to do the right thing but ends up doing it in the wrong way.
Jimmy started his journey again to work ethically but ended up getting involved in criminal cases including drugs.
Although Saul might not be the right idol for an entrepreneur, this show still gives a lot of lessons that might help entrepreneurs in setting up their own business.

Always have an end goal in your mind, future planning is a necessity while doing business. Stick to your moral integrity, unethical means do not pay money for long terms you might end up behind bars for such practices. The profit, which aired on CNBC might be a bit similar to shark tank in terms of concept but it gives a major insight into the day to day operations of businesses. It helps in educating the audience regarding managing a falling or struggling small business.
It is an American documentary style reality show featuring Marcus Lemonis, an American businessman with a net worth of more than $900 million. He invests his own money into businesses that aren’t doing well and saves them from falling apart. He becomes part-owner of the business and gives them crucial advice to run theirp business efficiently.
Lemonis is completely invested in the business, he makes an offer that one cannot refuse and once he’s in these companies he tries every way possible to help them come out of debts or make them successful and ultimately gaining profit from them. There’s a lot of things an entrepreneur can learn from Lemonis and his “The Profit” since it reflects the original business world.
Lesson~
For an entrepreneur their top preference should be their business, sometimes taking a break is fine but they must focus on sales figure, profit margins, debts and their employees. Everything relies on good people, good product and good process, a business that maintains a healthy balance between these three always prospers.
